Unwind - Neal Shusterman Wonderful, fascinating, and a bit sad of a read that's left me reeling with questions. The biggest question i have is: if 100% of unwinds are to be used, and parents have the right to unwind their children at 13 if they want, what becomes of those with mental illnesses and those with sever birth defects? Are all of them still kept but given new parts from unwound individuals? What if the family can't afford transplanting or do care for those with illness? If they are given up to be unwound, how does the government deal with the clause that mandates that 100% (99.4%) of the unwound be utilized, especially when those afflicted have arguably "bad/unusable" parts? Hmmm...Anyway, proper review that further discusses the contents of this story to come.
