Burn Bright - Marianne de Pierres Um....this book was sort of a mess...for me. I don't really like anyone and the world itself was a big WTF? I mean, in theory, I guess I can summarize what this book was about, but the execution wasn't the best, it was sloppy. It was cray. A lot of cray. It was hard to follow. I can't tell you a good 70% of some things I should be able to describe about this world. I'm just confused, with a side of not caring at this point, about what I just read. That is never a good thing for an avid book reader to say. There are some good intentions with what I think this story wanted to be, but for me, the overall feeling is that this felt very muck like an over active imagination going terribly awry. And editor dropped the ball on this one on a couple different fronts. Sorry. Even still, I might skim the sequel just to see if an improvement and some context cohesiveness was made.
